The Pursuit is the fifth studio album past Jamie Cullum. Information technology was released on 9 November 2009 in the Britain, and released in the United States and Canada on 2 March 2010. It was produced by Greg Wells and Martin Terefe, and mixed past Greg Wells, Thomas Juth and Ryan Hewitt. The album's championship is taken from the novel The Pursuit of Love by Nancy Mitford.[4] The album was recorded at a Los Angeles studio using songs that Cullum originally recorded at his Shepherd'south Bush recording studio, Terrified Studios.[5] The song "Mixtape" features Sophie Dahl on bankroll vocals.[6]
The outset single from the anthology, "I'm All Over It",[7] was released on 2 November 2009.
Music Week critic Andy Morris states in his review of the album, "The Cole Porter comprehend at the start won't surprise yous, but the house rails at the stop only might. Cullum'southward fifth anthology does justice to his musical influences: from the Portishead-tinged 'If I Ruled The Globe' to the wonky groove of 'We Run Things', information technology's bold, experimental and the best matter Cullum's done."[viii]
Both the track listing and the cover-fine art for the anthology were released on 27 August 2009, art directed past Sacha (Spencer Trace) Teulon.
